1430370 - Error; "Unknown name" When trying to display a Crystal Report in Visual Studio .NET web application.

Symptom

Trying to display a report in the Crystal Reports DHTML viewer for VS .NET produces the error;

"Unknown name"

Cause

HTTP compression was enabled in IIS

Resolution

Disable HTTP compression;

Go to IIS Manager. Select Web Sites then Properties. Under Service, find HTTP compression and disable this option.
