1434554 - Incorrect number formatting when using the ToNumber() function in Desktop Intelligence

Symptom

  • In Desktop Intelligence when using the ToNumber() function to convert a text to a number, if the number has thousand separators the first character is recognized as a thousand or decimals separator in a text string is considered as a decimals separator

  • Example 1:  the string “1,234.56”  when converted using the ToNumber() function, will become “1.23” in an English US localized format,  “1,23” in a French localized install of Desktop Intelligence

  • Example 2:  the string “7.890,12”  when converted using the ToNumber() function, will become “7.89” in an English US localized format,  “7,89” in a French localized install of Desktop Intelligence
