1441261 - Business Objects Enterprise does not start after changing the machine IP address

Symptom

When starting Business Objects using ./startservers command we get one of the following errors:

  • "Failed to register with name server. Reason: a server of this name already exists. (STU00188) Please check for name duplication and validness of the server.
  • "ERROR: Couldn't logon to CMS (STU00152)"
  • When we run ./ccm.sh -display command, the error appears as: "The system <systemname> can be contacted, but there is no Central Management Server running at port 6400"
