1442361 - Setting a substitution parameter to a value with an & in it does not work - Data Services XI

Symptom

  • Error: "Expected entity name for reference"
  • & does not work via command line option
  • Error: "Program terminated with exit code <191>"
  • Error: "Terminated with exit code <1>"
  • &amp works in the designer interface to set the substitution parameter.
  • Cannot set a substitution parameter from command line when the string contains an ampersand.
  • Error: "Failed to assemble transform options. Error message:<Unterminated entity reference,'amp'>."
  • Escape characters do not work to allow a substitution parameter to be set with an & via the command line options.
