1444010 - Error: “A Parameter field name ‘<Parameter Name>’ already exists” when attempting to reuse a parameter on an OLAP Grid

• Error: “A Parameter field name ‘<Parameter Name>’ already exists”
• Unable to use an existing parameter on an OLAP Grid
• Error displays when attempting to reuse the same parameter on a second OLAP Grid on a report in Crystal Reports
• It is not possible to reuse the same parameter on multiple OLAP Grid in Crystal Reports 2008, like it used to be in Crystal Reports XI R2 and below.

0. Create an OLAP Cube report in Crystal Reports 2008
0. Add a second OLAP Grid to the report.
0. On the first OLAP Grid, create a parameter for a row
0. On the second OLAP Grid, for the same row as step 3, select the same parameter created in the first OLAP grid

You will then receive the error message: A Parameter field name <PARAMETER NAME> already exists.
