1448783 - FIM: Job error when retrieving users

Symptom

  • In Financial Information Management (FIM) users are able to connect without a problem.
  • However, when they try to run a job the following error occurs:

  • Also, the log shows details of a different user and not of the user who encountered the error.

Example from a v7.5 FIMSERVER.LOG file:

"com.crystaldecisions.sdk.exception.SDKServerException: Active Directory Authentication failed to get the Active Directory groups for the account with ID "077CBC683E8EEA4F83BD5740FEA5C311:<AD USER ACCOUNT NAME>;CN=<AD user account name>,OU=<AD group>,OU=<AD Group>,DC=<Windows Domain>,DC=<Windows Domain>,DC=<Windows Domain>". Please make sure this account is valid and belongs to an accessible domain."

NOTE: The information in the CN, OU and DC LDAP strings are referring to Windows Active Directory domains, groups and users. CN = Common Name, OU = Organizational Unit, DC = Domain Component (see this link for more information)
