Symptom

Environment

  • SAP Crystal Reports 2020
  • SAP Crystal Reports 2025

  • Business View Manager

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In the Business View Manager, open or create a Data Foundation
  2. Create a filter, and name it: C Filter

Now the filter: C Filter will display in the Object Explorer under Filters

  1. Create a second filter, and name it: A Filter
  2. Create a third filter, and name it: B Filter

The filter in the Object Explorer will display like:
   C Filter
   A Filter
   B Filter

Instead of being displayed in alphabetical order like:
   A Filter
   B Filter
   C Filter

Like it used to be in the Business View Manager for BusinessObjects Enterprise XI R2 and below

Cause

In the Business View Manager, the Filters in a Data Foundation are sorted by creation date, and not in alphabetical order

Resolution

There is unfortunately no option in the Business View Manager to change the way Filters are sorted in the Data Foundation.
