1455224 - MDX error or "no data" when refreshing a Web Intelligence report containing a prompt with "only from list" setting

Symptom

  • Using the options "optional prompt" and "select only from list" together in the prompt settings is causing an MDX error or no data to retrieve. 
  • If either of these options are used by themselves, the query runs successfully.
  • Error: A database error occurred.  The database error text is: MDDataSetBW.GetCellData (WIS 10901)
  • Error: A database error occurred.  The database error text is: "The MDX query <...> failed to execute with the error Value <...> for characteristic <...> unknown. (WIS 10901)
