1456919 - Error; Excel found unreadable content... when exporting to Excel file format

• The report has in excess of 6,000 rows
• Exporting to Excel format appears to be successful
• Opening the exported file in Excel results in the error;

Excel found unreadable content in name_of_file.xls. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook?

• Allowing "recover the contents of this workbook", results in all formatting being removed from the xls file
• Report with less rows exports correctly

• The report had a New Page After option on the detail section enabled
• This resulted in an xls file that had too many pages for Excel
• For limits of Excel files, see the Microsoft Office Online documentation; Excel specifications and limits

• Filter the report data for smaller result set
• Remove the  New Page After option
• Export to a different format
• Note. The number of rows is not the defining variable, number of pages generated is
