Symptom

Webi to webi report link with opendocument generates "driver not capable" error wis 10901.

Cause

The mapped SAP users don't have the correct rights on the SAP environment.

  1. On previous version, if use the user without S_RS_IOBJ to create the universe, the date characteristic will automatically changed to a character object. If you change it back to date type manually, and run the report on this universe, you will get the error.
  2. On previous version, if use the user with S_RS_IOBJ to create the universe, the date characteristic will keep the date data type, if you create a report on this universe but use different user (the one without S_RS_IOBJ), you will also get the error.
  3. In the newest version, use the user without S_RS_IOBJ to create the universe, the date characteristic will also keep the date data type, and the error is not reproducible anymore.

Resolution

Thie issue for "Driver not capable" is not reproducible on BO with FP2.7.

Please go to the SMP and download and install Fix Pack 2.7. For all components in your BO environment. Then install Fix Pack 2.7 for the SAP intergration kit.
