Symptom
- After a server reboot while Business Objects Enterprise (BOE) services are still running, restart of the BOE processes result in services starting-up at OS level but showing up as stopped from the Central Management Console (CMC). Only the CMS is considered as up and running at CMC level.
- The Central Management Server (CMS) log files show the following after tracing activation:

[Fri Apr 16 08:45:34 2010] 21367 1155009456 trace message: CAPSServerApp::CommitServerObjectUpdateToInfoStore : Failed to commit server(com.seagatesoftware.img.osca.webiserver."hostname.fqdn.com"-hostname.webi_report_server_1,webiserver) to APS. Operation 1 denied.
- In this scenario, Web Intelligence (WebI) service tracing was enabled and provided the following information in the log. A loop is visible with the service retrying to register every 5 seconds:
