1468551 - BIOD How do I remove a dataset that errors that it can not be deleted?

Symptom

I can not delete a dataset from the MY Stuff area.  After selecting the dataset and clicking delete, a box opens stating the dataset could not be deleted.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Click on the Reports and Dat tab.
  2. Place a checkmark next to the dataset to be deleted.
  3. Click on the delete button.

Cause

A dataset can not be removed if there are dependencies associated with it.  Any visualizations or filtering must be removed first so that the dataset is not being relied on.

Resolution

  1. Open the dataset by clicking on its name.
  2. Scroll down the page that displays the properties.
  3. Ensure there are no Visualizations of items listed as filters.
  4. Remove any visualizations or filterings.
  5. Proceed with the deletion steps as normal.
