1474018 - Shortcut to the Section Expert in Crystal Reports open the Check Dependencies window

• In Crystal Reports, when using the menu shortcut key: Alt-R-c, it open the dependencies window instead of opening the Section Expert
• In Crystal Reports 10 and below, when using the menu shortcut key: Alt-R-c, it open the Section Expert

• Crystal Reports XI
• Crystal Reports XI R2
• Crystal Reports 2008

0. Open any report in Crystal Reports XI, XI R2 or 2008
0. Attempt to open the “Section Expert” by holding the following key: ALT-R-C
0. Notice it open the “Check Dependencies” window at the bottom of the screen instead of opening the “Section Expert”

• The issue has been identified and logged under Problem Report ID ADAPT01248792
• The reason this is happening, it’s because there is 2 shortcut key for the same letter C:
  • The “c” of “Section Expert” has an underscore to indicate it can be used as shortcut
  • The “C” of “Check Dependencies…” has an underscore to indicate it can be used as a shortcut.
• Since “c” is used twice in the same menu it only works for one of the item, and it always goes to “Check dependencies”.

The issue has been resolved in Service Pack 3 of Crystal Reports 2008
