1474892 - Web Intelligence Processing Server fails to start and crashes on AIX

Symptom

  • After installing BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 on AIX, all servers start except the Web Intelligence Processing Server. 
  • When starting the Web Intelligence Processing Server with tracing enabled, it is observed that the server crashes on the following line in the trace log:

          "ceserver:initialization of the administration plugin"

  • The stack trace obtained from the core dump shows a segmentation fault in fetch_and_add function.
