1477828 - XI 3.1 - MDAS, WACS and APS services are in failed status

• in Central Configuration Manager (CCM)> Manage Servers:
  • Web Application Container Server (WACS) fails to start and goes into "Failed" status
  • Adaptive Processing Server (APS) fails to start and goes into "Failed" status
  • Multi Dimensional Analysis Server (MDAS) fails to start and goes into "Failed" status
• The issue is consistent between the services concerned (problem would occur for both MDAS and APS. WACS also failing if the service is installed)
• Event Viewer error ID 4096. e.g.:

Event ID 4096 "Web Application Container Server stopped unexpectedly"

• Error in the BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\logging\ for the service concerned (WACS in the following example)
