1482696 - Cannot schedule Business Objects reports to SMTP server that require NTLM authentication. Error received

Symptom

  • It's not possible schedule Web Intelligence / Desktop Intelligence reports to e-mail
  • Error "[The SMTP server does not support the authentication protocol [Connection]. Code: [SMTP 530 - Authentication is required.].]: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]" when scheduling
  • Instances fail when the destination chosen within the schedule is a SMTP server that require NTLM authentication
