- Is it possible to suppress the install of this folder?

Reproducing the Issue
- Use the Crystal Reports MSM or MSI files to install the Crystal Reports runtime for VS .NET
- For correct MS and MSI files see the wiki Crystal Reports v. 9.1 to 12.x VS .NET Runtime Distribution & Supported Operating Systems
Resolution
- Expand the MergeModuleProperties in your deployment tool
- Look for the property “InstallviewerVirtualDir”
- Set this property to a value of "0" (zero)
- Note: only the MSM files are configurable
