1484056 - Project Management Business Functions in Organizational Management

You may want to assign a business function related to project management to an organizational unit. You cannot find any business functions related to project management in the Organizational Management work center.

1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
2. Select the Edit Organizational Structure tab.
3. Choose the organizational unit where you want to assign the business function related to project management.
4. Select the Functions tab.

Here you cannot see any function related to project management.

There are no business functions specifically defined for project management.

You cannot assign any organizational unit to a project, rather it is the other way around. When a manager or any employee has access to the Project Management work center and creates any project, that project belongs to the creator's organizational unit. The person who creates the project is the responsible person for the project. However the minimum requirement for creating a project is that the responsible organizational unit must be a Cost Center. Moreover if the project is marked as Billable, the responsible organizational unit must be a Profit Center as well.
