Symptom

  • Migrating BusinessObjects Enterprise XI R2 (XIR2) to BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 fails
  • Error occurs when using Copy data from another Data Source in CCM to migrate DB2 CMS database
  • Error message:
    Failed to copy data from <Source cms database name> to < Destination cms database name>.
    Reason: Failed to initialize the source database.
    Data cannot be read.
    Reason: BusinessObjects Enterprise CMS: Unable to connect to the CMS system database “DB2 server version is 08.02.xxxx but DB2 driver version is 09.05.xxxx. Use same version.”. Reason: %2.
