1496168 - Relay problem while sending mails through SAPconnect using SMTP plug-in

Symptom

The issue occurs when attempting to send emails from the SAP system to an external mail address using the SMTP node. In transaction SOST, the following error status codes are observed for some send requests:

  • XS802
  • XS812
  • XS806
  • XS829
  • XS855

The error message can be checked in more detail in transaction SOST on the long text message of the email which failed.

The following information might be displayed under "Information from external system":

  • Relaying denied
  • Unable to relay
  • Relay access denied
  • Relay rejected for policy reasons
  • Rejected for policy reasons
  • Sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed
  • Invalid domain name
  • Unable to relay recipient in non-accepted domain
