1500236 - PCM: Web server on IIS gives "An Internet connection was established, but the data cannot be retrieved: Internal Server Error".

Symptom

The following error is received when accessing a web server on Windows server and IIS.

"An Internet connection was established, but the data cannot be retrieved: Internal Server Error"

The error message is a general error messages that basically means that the virtual directory is setup but there is a issue retrieving the data. Most likely the IIS sever is misconfigured and the settings need to be checked and verified.
