Symptom
- The symbol of currency field defined as customized Currency format changed to the symbol follow by InfoView preference.
- For example, Currency format "$0.00" in Crystal Reports 2008, shown as "¥0" in InfoView which preference is set to Japanese locale.
Environment
- SAP Crystal Reports 2008
- SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 (BOE XI3.1)
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a CR report by Crystal Reports 2008 with some data source which currency field is included.
- Create a new Formula field, which combines the currency field and a string. like "CUR" + currency field.
- Drag&Drop the Formula field into the Detail section.
- Click file -> Options -> Fields -> Currency.
- Choose Number tab.
- Click Customize button.
- Choose Number tab.
- Set as Decimals 1.00, Symbol as $.
- Save the CR report and export it to BOE system.
- Logon InfoView.
- Change the Preference -> Locale to Japanese.
- View the CR report from InfoView.
Resolution
- Devide the combined Formula field into two fields.
- Create one Formula Filed: "CUR"
- Create another Formula Filed: currency field
- Drag the two field into CR report.
