Symptom

  • How to resolve Taiwan (ROC) calendar's "Y1C" ( one-hundred years) issue in Crystal Reports XI R2

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Creata a Date type field in Crystal Reports XI R2
  2. Right-click the field -> choose Format Field  -> choose Custom Style under Date and Time tab -> select Data Tab -> select Taiwanese calendar as Calendar Type
  3. Year 2010 in Georgian Calendar (standard calendar) is equal to Year 99 in Taiwanese calendar
  4. When the value of date is Year 2011, it should display as Year 100 in Taiwanese calendar
  5. However, only last two digits (00) are showm in Crystal Reports

Cause

The issue has been identified and logged under Problem Report ID ADAPT00975550

Resolution

  • This issue has been addressed in Crystal Reports XI R2 SP4.
  • The issue does not occur in Crystal Reports 2008
