Symptom

  • max no of <XX> conversations exceeded ("<XX>" can be any number, like 100 or 404)
  • max no of connections (<max_conn>) exceeded
  • max no of cpic clients exceeded (<max_sys>) exceeded

For example when connecting to an SAP ABAP server from the portal (ESS) client application, the error is shown below:
