1512198 - Unable to start BO Services on unix and no logs are created

Symptom

You attempt to start your BusinessObjects services on unix (all platforms) and the script appears to behave as it should but no services start and no logs are created from services like the cms or others that you might normally expect.

This applies to the following scripts (not a complete list):

  • ccm.sh
  • startservers
  • mysqlstartup.sh
  • tomcatstartup.sh

This applies to all variants of unix including solaris hp-ux aix and linux.
