Rehire Activity Failed.

Strat date date must not be later than end date.

  2. Select Employees view.
  3. Select the employee.
  4. Select the Actions button and choose Rehire Employee.
  5. Fill in the mandatory details and select Save button.

System throws the above error message.

Cause

The cause of this error is because the Payroll Group assigned to the employee is still active which was used for his/her first-time hire.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, the condition needs to be checked.

The payroll group assignment used for the employee during the first time hire should be after the first hire date and should end before the second hire date.

Example:

If the first hire and termination date of an employee is 1/1/2001 and 1/10/2005, the second hire date is 12/10/2010, then the payroll group assignment used for the employee in first hire should start after on 2/1/2001 and end on or before 11/10/2010.

If you correct this data, the rehire scenario should work fine.
