1526248 - ESI - How to create Web Service from Function Module or BAPI which has import and export parameter with the same name

Symptom

A webservice is created using one of the following methods:

  • Transaction SE37
  • Display Function module 
  • Menu path: Utilities -> More Utilities -> Create Web Service -> From Function Module

The Function module or BAPI was developed in very early SAP release and the importing and exporting parameters have the same name. This results in the called Web Service not working properly.
