1528590 - Error 'Unable to convert string' while accessing InfoView and CMC hosted on a WebSphere 7 Application Server

Symptom

  • Click on Document List in InfoView, below error message appear:
    An error has occurred: Unable to convert string '#{infoViewListingBean.productLocale}' to class javax.el.ValueExpression for attribute locale: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Property Editor not registered with the PropertyEditorManager
  • Error while opening CMC:
    Error 500: com.ibm.ws.jsp.JspCoreException: Unable to convert string '#{logonbean.locale}' to class javax.el.ValueExpression for attribute locale: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Property Editor not registered with the PropertyEditorManager
