Symptom

  • Run the following command in DOS prompt on Windows Server 2008:

ktpass -out BOSSO.keytab -princ BOSSO/bossosvcacct.mydomain.com@REALM.COM -mapuser bossosvcacct@REALM.COM -pass PASSWORD -ptype KRB5_NT_PRINCIPAL -crypto RC4-HMAC-NT

  • We get the following output:

WARNING: Unable to set SPN mapping data.Failed to retrieve user info for bossosvcacct: 0x5. Aborted
