Symptom

The underlined subreport does not appear when view through InfoView.

Environment

  • BusinessObjects Enterprise 3.1
  • Crystal Reports 2008

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a sample Crystal Report using the Xtreme Sample Database
  2. Insert the subreport in the main report and underline it by formatting
  3. Link the subreport with the main report by a column
  4. Login to InfoView and view the report using default Web Viewer

Cause

Plug-in provided by the viewers is not sufficient to view the report

Resolution

To resolve this do the following steps:

  1. Login to InfoView.
  2. Open the particular Crystal Report.
  3. Click on Preferences options.
  4. Change the viewer from default "Web Viewer" to "Web Java Viewer"
