1535750 - SWF fails to initialize or are slow in performance when Flash player is updated to 10.1

Symptom

  • SWF fails to initialize.
  • SWF hangs in the initializing mode.
  • Performance of the swf is slower on Flash player  version 10.1.53.64.

Environment

  • Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack 3
  • Adobe Flash Player version 10.1.53.64
  • Windows XP
  • Microsoft Office 2007

    • Reproducing the Issue

    1. Install Flash player 10.1.53.64 from Internet Explorer.
    2. Create a complex swf file with couple of live office connections.
    3. Generate the swf .

     It fails to load or the performance of swf is slow as compared to on Flash Player 10.0.

    Cause

    SWF hangs while initializing or performance is slow due to the changes made in the Flash Player 10.1 from Adobe.

    Resolution

    This issue has been resolved in November 2010's Adobe's Flash Security update with Flash Player version: 10.1.102.64. Upgrade to Flash Player 10.1.102.64.
