How to keep the groups together in a Cross-Tab?

• Crystal Reports XI R2 (All Patch levels)
• Crystal Reports 2008 (All Patch levels)

1. Create a Crystal Report against the Xtreme Sample Database
2. Insert a Cross-Tab (Click Insert -> Cross-Tab) and place it on the Report Header/Report Footer
3. Right Click the Cross-Tab and go to ‘Cross-Tab Expert’
4. In the ‘Rows’ add ‘Customer.Country’ and ‘Customer.Region’
5. In the ‘Columns’ add ‘Customer.Customer Name’
6. In the ‘Summarized fields’ add ‘Customer.Last Year Sale’s’
7. Click OK and Refresh the report
8. If you scroll pages you can observe that the date for some of the countries that have more regions is split between two or three pages
9. For e.g.: Germany, which has four regions, however Crystal Reports splits the data for Germany spanned across two pages.
10. One Region for Germany is displayed on the last line of the Cross-Tab and others continue on the next page
11. Logically, if ‘Keep Group Together’ option is available then the all the data for Germany would be seen on one page

This functionality does not currently exist in the product.
