1537414 - Text object with database field embedded cannot be edited in Crystal Reports

Symptom

  • Field fromat embedded within Text Object cannot be edited.
  • Text Object with Database field cannot be edited.

Environment

  • Crystal Reports 2008 SP0
  • Crystal Reports 2008 SP1

Reproducing the Issue

1. Create a report with any data source.

2. Insert a Text Object.

3. Insert a field in to the Text Object.

4. In Design view, double click the Text Object and right click that field, you will see the "Format {...} ..." was disabled.

Cause

The issue has been identified and logged under ADAPT01217259.

Resolution

The issue has been resolved in Crystal Reports 20008 SP1 FixPack 1.8 .
