1537779 - Error Message "Target value Cannot be Empty" While Doing Migration of Material

While doing migration of material using the Data Migration tool, you could find that the field Target Value Description is uneditable and the system gives the below error message:

Target value Cannot be Empty

1. Go to the Business configuration workcenter.
2. Select the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select the Open activity List button.
4. Go to the Integrate and extend chevron.
5. Search for the activity Migration of Materials and select the link. A new window opens up.
6. Select the Migrate materials using the migration tool link.
7. Select a file which you need to upload and select the Execute Migration button.
8. Select the Next button and select the option Edit value Conversion for Availability Check Scope.
9. The field Target value Description is uneditable. When you select Save button, system throws the metioned error message.
   
   

The cause for the issue is that the functionality to Hide and Unhide fields is activated for the user.

1. Go to the Business configuration workcenter.
2. Select the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select the Open activity List button and select the Integrate and extend chervon.
4. Open the activity Migration of Materials. A new window opens up.
5. Select the Migrate materials using the migration tool link.
6. Select a file which you need to upload and Select Execute Migration button.
7. Select Next button and select the option Edit value Conversion for Availability Check Scope.

Follow the below mentioned steps after reaching the window Edit value Conversion for Availability Check Scope:

1. Place the cursor in any field on the table and right click. 
2. Choose the User settings and then select Invisible Elements.
3. Choose the Table column restore xxx (xxx = name of the hidden column, in this case xxx = "Availability Check Scope").

After following the above mentioned steps the missing field will be visible.
