1542048 - Single Page Crystal Report after exporting to PDF expand to two pages in InfoView

Symptom

  • Single page Crystal Report exported to PDF format expands to two pages.
  • Crystal Report works fine in Crystal Reports XIR2 designer. 
  • When the report view in InfoView it expand to two pages
  • Report should be of 1 page.

Environment

  • Crystal Reports XIR2
  • BusinessObjects Enterprise XIR2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create the Crystal Report using the Xtream Sample Database.
  2. Save the report on the Enterprise.
  3. Login to InfoView and view the report using "Advanced DHTML Viewer"
  4. Click on "Export" and select PDF format

Cause

Plug-in provided by the viewers is not sufficient to view the report

Resolution

To resolve this do the following steps:

  1. Login to InfoView.
  2. Open the particular Crystal Report.
  3. Click on Preferences option.
  4. Change the viewer from "Advanced DHTML" to "Active X Viewer".
  5. Click on "Export" and select PDF format
