1542783 - Error Message "Timeline Entered is Invalid, Enter a Timeline Between DD.MM.YYYY and DD.MM.YYYY" While Trying to Change the Start Date of an Org Structure

When user changing the Effective date of an entire Org Structure to earlier date, system throws below error message:

Timeline Entered is Invalid, enter a timeline between DD.MM.YYYY and DD.MM.YYYY

1. Go to Organizational Management work center.
2. Select Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks.
3. Go to Timelines tab, preferably on the topmost Org Chart node in the tree.
4. Set the Valid From date to earlier date as per your requirement.
5. Where the dates of all the parameters are changing except for Org unit manager and the employees assigned to that.
6. When trying to change the Valid from date of Org unit manager and the employees, System throws above error message.

The effective date of an Org structure/Org unit can be changed only after the activation of the Org structure. Because in the Planning area, it is not possible to change the valid from date of an Org unit manager and the employees assigned to the org unit.

Follow the below steps in order to change the valid from date of an entire Org structure:

1. Go to Organizational Management work center. 
2. Select Edit Org Structures view.
3. Go to Timelines tab, preferably on the topmost Org Chart node in the tree.
4. Set the Valid From date on the Timelines tab (where the org unit ID is in the value column) to the new desired date (DD.MM.YYYY). Please note: You could able to see that once user change the start date of an org unit then the other dates will also change except the timelines of Org Unit Manager and the employees assigned to it. 
i.e,. The Org unit date will be DD.MM.YYYY (new date) and for Org unit manager and the employees assigned to the org unit will remain in the date DD.MM.YYYY1 (Old Date). 
5. Go through the tree from top to bottom and perform step 4 for each of the nodes.
6. Save and Activate the entire structure.
7. Now, Again go to the Planning Area of the Org structure. Enter DD.MM.YYYY1 (Old Date) in Effective from field and select Go button.
8. Go to the Timelines tab, of the topmost Org Chart node in the tree.
9. Change the Valid from field of the Org unit Manager and the employees assigned to DD.MM.YYYY (new date).
10. Save the changes and Activate the Org structure.

Now user could see the entire Org Structure's Valid from Date to DD.MM.YYYY (new date) which is the date as per user requirement.
