Symptom

Alerts do not change color correctly when By Value is used in chart component

Environment

SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack(SP) 1

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log onto Xcelsius.
  2. Insert a column chart component.
  3. In Excel define A1=96, B1=95.
  4. Select the chart component,  in General tab > Data Field,  Check By Series. 
  5. Click + button to add a Series.
  6. Click the cell selector button adjacent to the Y Values box , select  cell A1 for  the Y values.
  7. Go to Alerts tab for the chart component, Check Enable Alerts, and select By Value.
  8. In Alert Thresholds field, check the option Use a Range, click the cell selector button adjacent to the use a Range, select cell B1.
  9. Define color selection for different value ranges.
  10. Click Preview button.
     =>Note that the  color of the column char component is not displayed as expected.

Cause

The issue has been identified and logged under Problem Report ID ADAPT01147995.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed on BusinessObjects Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack 2.
