1547069 - Delimited Org Units (Company) Are Still Visible in Active Area Even After Activation

User have delimited the Org Units XYZ (Company) on DD.MM.YYYY and activated the changes done. But the Org unit XYZ is still visible in Active area.

SAP Business ByDesign

Active Area:

1. Go to Organizational Management work center.
2. Select Org Structures view.
3. Select Effective from Date as DD.MM.YYYY.
4. Select Go button.

The delimited Org unit XYZ is still visible.

Planning Area:

1. Go to Organizational Management work center.
2. Select Edit Org Structures.
3. Select Effective from Date as DD.MM.YYYY.
4. Select Go button.

The delimited Org unit XYZ is still not visible.

Users are trying to activate the org structure after delimiting the XYZ (i.e. user have set the date to DD.MM.YYYY, delimits the org units and then directly clicks on Activate button).

Now the system will state that activation was successful, however it will only attempt to activate the visible structures on the screen. Since XYZ no longer valid on DD.MM.YYYY, it wouldn't be part of the

selection and hence not be activated.

Follow below steps to resolve the issue,

1. Go to Organizational Management work center.
2. Select Org Structures view.
3. Select the org unit XYZ.
4. Choose Edit button.
5. Set the effective from date to a date before DD.MM.YYYY and make sure that the org unit XYZ is visible.
6. Select Activate all or activate selected structure option (after highlighting the org unit XYZ).

Now the Org unit XYZ will not be visible in the Active area.
