1553953 - Impossible to configure Mobile services after Mobi install

Symptom

  • After successful installation of Business Objects XI31 Mobile software, Mobi services cannot be created
  • Neither XI31 Mobile sevices can be created using Start menu Configure service commands
  • Running service configuration manually from on a CMD window from the respective binary folders also fail as below -

eg. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\Mobile 12\server\VAS\bin\vtauthd.bat" service_inst OR
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\Mobile 12\server\VMSServer\bin\vtvmsd.bat" service_inst

fail with following at the end of output -

JavaService (Windows NT Service Daemon) commands:-

 -version
 -licence
 -install service_name jvm service_options...
 -queryconfig service_name
 -status service_name
 -uninstall service_name
 -help
 -help topic
