1559279 - XI3.1 SP3 - Crystal prompts take much longer to display in schedule page

Symptom

  • Crystal report prompts take much longer to display in schedule page compared to InfoView viewer or Crystal Report Designer.
  • The problem also occurs through static prompts (saved with the report) without any interaction with the database.
  • CPU usage hits 100% during the whole processing of the prompts
  • If using an HTTP debugger (Fiddler, Firebug, HTTPWatch...), the call to "/CrystalReports/parameters/parameters.object" (function to request prompts for scheduling) takes approximately 8 times longer to run compared with call to "/CrystalReports/CrystalReportViewerHandler" (function to request prompts for viewing)
