1563021 - The Option 'Funct of exp, profit ctr/seg' is not Available for Reporting Principle while Creating Set of Books - SAP Business ByDesign

While creating a new set of books the option Funct of exp, profit ctr/seg is not present for Reporting Principle.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select the button Open Activity List.
4. Go to Integrate and Extend.
5. Select activity Set of Books -> Maintain Set of Books.
6. Select New -> Set of Books.

Notice that the option Funct of exp, profit ctr/seg is not available for Reporting Principle field.

Profit center and segment reporting is not selected in the scoping.

The project scope needs to be edited:

1. Select Financial and Management Accounting -> General Ledger.
2. Go to Questions.

Here select the question:

You can create financial reports based on segments and profit centers.

This question should be answered Yes.

Once this is done the option Funct of exp, profit ctr/seg becomes available for Reporting Principle while creating a set of books.
