1566600 - ERROR unable to check database when trying to update the CMS connection to Oracle database

Symptom

  • Starting the Server Intelligent Agent (SIA) doesn't start any service and CMS doesn't start
  • Updating the connection for the CMS fails with the following errors
    •  err: ERROR Unable to check database
    • err: Error description: Internal error: An unknown exception has occurred. Please press Enter to continue...
  • Using cscheck to check the connetion with the command below generates a core dump
    • ./cscheck ping -m local -c "Oracle Client" -d "Oracle 11" -s "<data source>" -u username -p password
  • Logging to the oracle server gives the following error before the user is connected
    • ERROR: ORA-28002: the password will expire within 3 days
