1566635 - XI 3.1 - Client tools and/or Tomcat generate a Communication failure

Symptom

  • After upgrading Business Objects Enteprise XI 3.1, the Business Objects servers cannot be contacted
  • When accessing from client tools, the following error is retrieved (extract from Designer after login):
Cannot access the repository. (USR0013)
[repo_proxy 13] SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed(CMS host 'Hostname' cannot be found on the network. Please verify the name and that network name resolution is working properly.

  •  When accessing the CMC or InfoView from Tomcat, an error is displayed:
Communication error occurred when trying to connect to server (FWM 01009) null
