1567010 - Crystal reports Server 2008 V1 License key not working gives: error Invalid license key

Symptom

You received a license key from SAP but the license key throws an error during install or by adding it via the CMC.
You checked with SAP and SAP advised that the license keys are valid.
The temporary keys from sap may work and the installation of Crystal Reports Server 2008 finishes successfully.
But when you add the permanent Licences keys via the CMC you receive an error:
after a quite long time the message "addlicensekey.js error " appears

Cause

You might be using Windows XP or Windows 7 operation which are only supported for Crystal Reports 2008 client tools and not the Server Version.

Resolution

Please use a supported platform as per Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1 supported platforms document.
