1568583 - A Material is shown as Purchased in material view but it is displayed as In-house Production in Planning tab of that material.

The material XYZ is shown as Purchased in material but it is displayed as In-house Production in tab Planning of the material (XYZ represents the ID of the material).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Product Data work center.
2. Select Materials view.
3. Search for the material XYZ and notice that the Purchased checkbox is checked.
4. Select Edit button after highlighting the material and select View All button.
5. Go to Planning tab, where Procurement type is displayed as In-house production.

The system works as designed.

In the search window, the Purchased status is checked if the Purchasing status is Active (meaning Material is active for purchasing). And the In-house is checked if the material is assigned to a Production model.

This is not to be related to the status shown in Planning tab -> Procurement Type field -> In-House Production.
