1571308 - Cannot view Adapter Engine messages in PI Message Monitor

Symptom

  • You are unable to view messages from the Adapter Engine in the Runtime Workbench (RWB) Message Monitoring.
  • An error can occur in two places:
    1. In the RWB Message Monitor the following error occurs when selecting Adapter Engine messages from Database Overview.
      1. no_connection Exception Message: RemoteException in Method:              
        CentralViewManager: getIProfiles( IApplication, boolean ).               
        Communication-related failure. Message: java.rmi.RemoteException:        
        Service call exception; nested exception is: java.io.IOException: Unable 
        to connect to <server>:443 - Connection refused

    1. In the RWB Component Monitoring, the error below occurs when selecting the Adapter Engine:   
      1. Unable to establish connection to "http://<server>:443/rtc"    
        Stacktrace:                                                           
        com.sap.aii.rwb.exceptions.RequestFailedException: Unable to establish
        connection to "http://<server>:443/rtc"
