SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

1571813 - cmsCollector Java error: "The program can't start because boezlib.dll is missing from your computer" - Data Services XI Metadata integrator

Symptom

  • Metadata Integrator program remains in pending or running state, when scheduled in BusinessObjects Enterprise 3.1 CMC "Central Management Console".
  • Errors produced when running Metadata Integrator  cmsCollector.cmd from command line:

1. Following error is displayed in a Windows pop-up message: 

In Data services XI 3.1: Java.exe- Unable to locate component. This application has failed to start because boezlib.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

In Data Services XI 3.2: Java.exe - System Error: The program can't start because boezlib.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.

2. Clicking ok on the error message will continue with an  additional  error in the command line window :  

  Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\cxlibw-4-0.dll: Can't find dependent libraries
