1571863 - Labels missing from Combo Box drop down when viewing Dashboard from InfoView

Symptom

  • Create a Dashboard in Xcelsius which has Combo Box component
  • There are missing labels when this dashboard is viewed in InfoView

Environment

Business Objects Enterprise(BOE) XIR3.1 SP2

Xcelsius 2008 SP3 FP3.3

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Dashboard with a Combo Box
  2. Select Labels for Combo Box and export the Dashboard to the Business Objects Enterprise 
  3. Preview the Dashboard from InfoView 
  4. Click on the drop down of Combo Box 
  5. The labels will be displayed with a blank space after the second or third label 
  6. When you click on the blank space the third/fourth label will be displayed hiding the first/second label

Resolution

  1. In Xcelsius go to File-->Documents Properties
  2. Select the Check box "Use Global Font" 
  3. Select the Font Type from the drop down 
  4. Select Use Embedded Fonts 
  5. Click Ok 
  6. Export the Dashboard to Busines Objects Enterprise and preview the Dashboard from InfoView
  7. You will be able to see the Labels without any blank spaces
