1574031 - Is it possible to use Crystal Report as a datasource for another Crystal Report?

Cannot use Crystal Report as a datasource for creating a new Crystal Report.

• Crystal Report 2008
• Xtreme Sample Database

1. Launch Crystal Report designer.
2. Create a sample report based on the database table 'Customers'.
3. Save the report with the name 'Report A'.
4. Try to create a new report based on 'Report A'.

An existing Crystal Report cannot be used as a datasource for generating a new Crystal Report.
For report processing, a structured database and a middleware (Database Driver) is required in order to fetch the data and populate on the report template.

Export the existing report to any formats (MS Excel, RTF, XML, and CSV) and use them as a datasource to create a new report.
These datasources can be used to create multiple subreports within a report.
