Symptom
- Printing from handhelds to thermal printers
- The productive system needs to be restarted every time errors start showing up in SP01
- SP01 spool request status displays "Waiting" and afterward the message changes to "Output device unavailable"
- SM50 the spool work processes may not show any problems or activity
- SM21 can display many repeated errors such as:
FA U Connection to SAPLPD Broken
Q0 I Operating system call connect failed (error no. 55 )
Q0 2 Stop Workproc PID - SP01 error's can display:
Incorrect (Failed to connect to LPD)
Error: LPD response format invalid
Error during print request output. l_rc = 2
Unable to establish connection to Berkeley LPD
4 connection attempts terminated with network errors.
For more information, look in the system log or developer trace - Access Method 'U' is in use for the affected Output Device/s in SPAD
